Roosters Need a Home

Rosters
We are looking for a home for 7 roosters! They were to be used as food for birds of prey but survived being suffocated.
We already have 6 roosters here at Cedar Row, so unfortunately we can’t take more then one rooster out of this bunch.
If you know of someone that can give a rooster a good safe home, please let me know. We have until February 1st to place them.

  1. Hello,

I shared your information about the roosters with Lynne Rowe of the Constance Creek Wildlife Refuge in Dunrobin, Ontario (near Ottawa).

Lynne says she can take roosters in to her rabbit enclosures for the winter…however, she has had problems with predators in the summer months. (She lost all her chickens to predators over the last few years).

Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

    Sincerely,

    Shannon M.

  2. I contacted Florine at 519 439 5885 who is trying to place 3 roosters. I suggested she try Wild things Petting Farm….905 294 1730 Norman Collier? He was recommended to me from the SPCA at Newmarket so maybe this may help you? I can only take hens myself right now as I have 3 roosters…one who hates me but is very pretty otherwise 🙂
